The board accepted the consent agenda (items 3.1–3.9) by voice vote, recorded as 6–0.
Ms. Cadiz introduced Laura McCarthy, joining Division Avenue as an E and L teacher from the Lindbergh School District. Board members welcomed McCarthy and noted the district’s strengths in programming and staff support.
Mr. Winch presented a first read of a transportation-policy revision that aligns policy with a prior board decision to operate late buses for grades 6–8 only (rather than both middle and high school). The board agreed to waive a second read and place the revision on the Sept. 11 meeting agenda for adoption.
Chair noted Peggy Marangi was excused for the meeting. No members of the public had signed up to speak.
