Superintendent: Narcan now in district schools, two doses per site; training under way

"We're happy to say that now we finally have reached to the point that we have the Narcan in place. We have 2 doses per school," Doctor Goodwin said, adding that standing medical orders are complete and staff training is being scheduled. He also said school resource officers will have access to the medication.
Doctor Goodwin thanked nurse Darling for coordinating the effort and noted the district's 2025 policy change that allowed for "life-saving drugs" meant the district did not need a further policy revision to add Narcan by name.
No vote was required for this operational update; the announcement described current implementation steps (standing orders, two doses per school, training) rather than a new policy adoption.
