Commissioners approve purchase of in-stock 2025 grader and authorize bridge bids; culvert quote awarded

The board approved the motion to purchase the 2025 grader and the brush guard for a total of $573,505.70 and later approved listing the existing grader on the government auction site.
Staff also presented upcoming bridge procurements including replacement work for Bridge 75 and a rehabilitation project for Bridge 503 on Auburn Drive over Cedar Creek. Commissioners approved sending bid documents for Bridge 75 and approved the Bridge 503 rehab as presented.
For a culvert replacement (structure 253 on County Road 21) staff received three quotes; Saint Joe Manufacturing provided the low quote of $24,830.23. Commissioners voted to accept that quote and proceed with the replacement.
All highway-related motions passed by roll call with unanimous support.
