Board member comments noted this is an annual state program and not district‑funded; the board must approve the allocation before the state deadline. The board approved the budget by motion (motion by Gina, second by Jen); the chair called the vote and the motion carried.
What happens next: If approved, the district will forward the budget for signature (the presenter said she would send it to Rick Pullen to sign). The new fiscal year for the grant begins in July; funds will be used for interventions, curriculum, and integration opportunities.
