Miss Mignet, presenting year‑to‑date figures through Sept. 30, 2024, said the district’s assets were $67,700,000 and observed a cumulative net change in fund balance of negative 11.4, reflecting timing differences between revenues and expenditures. She noted that larger property‑tax receipts generally arrive in November and February and that certain state Tier‑3 property‑tax‑relief revenues begin flowing in October.
On procurement, the finance team presented the required Jan.–June 2024 MBE report showing $1,400,000 spent with vendors who identified as minority businesses; combined with July–Dec. 2023 spending of $2,500,000, the fiscal‑year total reported was about $3,900,000 — nearly double the prior period. The presentation credited procurement staff and noted an upcoming move to a new enterprise resource planning system expected to improve vendor identification.
The board voted to accept the financial information as presented and to accept the minority‑business enterprise report. Both voice votes were reported as carrying with six in favor and one absent. No further fiscal actions or budget amendments were taken at the meeting.
