After reconvening in open session at 8:35 p.m., the Central Consolidated Schools Board unanimously ratified a joint powers agreement with Farmington School District to provide American Sign Language interpreter services to a CCSD student. The motion to ratify was moved by Miss Hasky and seconded by Mister Soh and passed on a 5–0 roll-call vote.
Board members voted in favor without additional discussion recorded in the public minutes. Superintendent and administration staff will proceed to finalize and execute the agreement and report back to the board when the contract is executed.
The ratification followed an executive session earlier in the meeting to discuss limited personnel matters related to superintendent goals and expectations under the New Mexico Open Meetings Act; the public vote on the JPA was taken immediately after the open-session reconvening.
