Euless council splits TAD votes, appoints TIRZ No.4 board and approves consent agenda

The Euless City Council unanimously approved several routine items and made two formal appointments during its meeting.
On the consent agenda, the council approved awarding bid No. 24-25 for professional employee leasing services for the Texas Star Golf Course and Conference Center to L.L. Roberts Group Key to Cash LLC (one-year term with up to three one‑year renewals), authorized a renovation contract for the Euless Family Life Aquatic Park and Natatorium to Deep End Pool Solutions, authorized the city manager to negotiate and execute a change order with Modern Contractors for police and municipal court jail facility improvements, and approved council minutes from Nov. 11, 2025. Councilmember Jeremy Tompkins moved to approve the consent agenda; the motion was seconded by Councilmember Eddie Price and carried unanimously.
Two candidates for the Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD) board addressed the council before members cast the city’s votes. Saeeda Saeed said she has prior ARB experience, told the council she has no conflicts of interest and alleged that appraisal district staff had withheld information from the city attorney during an ARB hearing. “So please all… I would like to say is, no one is here to represent you when you need to, pick and choose the candidate,” Saeeda Saeed said, asking the council to vote for her.
Eric Crile, another candidate, noted a current vacancy on the TAD board following Alan Blaylock’s resignation on Nov. 10 and said the nomination window runs through Dec. 26 with the TAD board scheduled to vote on New Year’s Eve. “If all the entities that want to nominate someone, you have until December 26 to nominate someone,” Crile told the council.
After hearing candidates, the council voted to allocate its TAD votes evenly between two candidates named during the motion (Mike Alfred and Eric Crow). The clerk recorded the motion as made by Councilmember Eddie Price and seconded by Councilmember Bynum; the motion passed unanimously.
The council also moved to acknowledge and appoint members to the Board of Directors for Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 4 for terms expiring Jan. 1, 2028. The appointees listed by the council were Mayor Linda Martin; Mayor Pro Tem Tim Stinnifer; Councilmember Eddie Price; Councilmember Tika Padel; Michael Garcia or designee representing Tarrant County; Shannon Fletcher representing the Tarrant County Hospital District; and Pamela Englund representing Tarrant County College District. Councilmember Tompkins moved the appointment, which was seconded by Councilmember Eads, and the motion passed unanimously.
There were no public comments, no staff reports, and the council adjourned with Thanksgiving remarks from the presiding official.
