Havasu Dog Park surface replaced and dust control planned, parks superintendent says

Charles Fernandez, superintendent of parks and facilities, told the commission on April 16 that the Havasu Dog Park project—removing wood chips and replacing them with crusher fine—has been completed and has drawn positive responses from neighbors.
Fernandez said crews are finishing detail work and that a wind fence to control dust around the park perimeter will be installed by an outside contractor. "Once that crusher fine settles, that shouldn't be an issue," he said, describing the fence as a final dust-control measure.
He also described ongoing in-house asphalt path crack repairs at Mountain View and above the sports complex using cold mix and noted continued spring startup maintenance across the park system (irrigation work, fountain activation, aeration and weed control).
