Chris Butwell, the district finance lead, told the board that running the consultants’ insurance numbers into the proposed superintendent’s budget would raise the projected budget increase to 8.04% under the Cigna scenario and to 7.84% under the Anthem scenario, with a roughly $78,666 difference between those two cases.
