The Marlington Local School District recognized student achievements across grade levels at its Nov. 21 meeting.
High-school staff (S7) presented Chloe Cantwell and read a profile for Peyton Farrell, who was absent because of swim practice. Middle-school principal Rizzoletti (S8) introduced Frank Griner as his building’s student of the month; Lexington Elementary staff Weber (S9) introduced Kalina Spencer as the fifth-grade Kiwanis student of the month; Marlboro Elementary staff Moore (S10) introduced Sophia Armour as that school’s Kiwanis student of the month; and Washington Elementary staff Espondil (S11) introduced Caleb Lumley as the Kiwanis student of the month for that building.
Presenters praised the students’ academics, leadership and extracurricular participation. The board thanked family members and attendees and then moved into the formal portion of the meeting.
The recognitions were ceremonial; no formal board action was required.
