Mayor announces Vine Street preconstruction planning and OPWC grant for Greenlee Avenue; project estimate $896,000

Mayor Jonathan Stutchell told the council that planning is under way for local street work and that the village has received a state public-works grant for a separate rehab project.
"Planning has already started for the Vine Street project. Precon a preconstruction meeting will be held next week to discuss the details of the project and scheduling, which will run through fall of this year," Stutchell said. He also announced that St. Bernard is receiving an Ohio Public Works Commission grant for Greenlee Avenue. "This is a 49% grant with a 51% cash match for construction... The total cost estimated for this project would be $896,000," he said, describing the planned work as milling, paving, full-depth repairs and curb replacement rather than a full reconstruction.
Stutchell also noted the village completed work on Kemper and Church streets and thanked staff for the result. He encouraged residents to keep property mowed and said those who did not comply had received lawn services and will be billed. The mayor reminded residents of a CIC meeting on May 28 in Council Chambers, where four CIC positions will be decided and one vacancy will be filled; candidates will get five to ten minutes to present themselves.
