The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved a special-exception permit to place a manufactured home on a half-acre lot at 29039 Morland Drive in Meadowview. Chair (speaker 1) opened the public hearing and zoning official Mister Richardson (speaker 8) explained that the village zoning district requires manufactured homes by special exception in that area and that past approvals have been granted similarly.
Richardson told the board the planning commission recommended approval (5-0) and noted the lot is currently vacant and historically used as pasture. Whitney Wagner (speaker 2) identified herself as someone with family ties to the property and asked the board to approve the permit so the property "will stay in a family and years to come." No opposition spoke at the board hearing.
A board member moved to approve the application, the motion was seconded, and the board approved the special-exception permit by a 7-0 vote.
