The Town of Harrisburg council approved a contract amendment for additional design and reimbursable-items tied to the Harrisburg Park renovation.
Staff explained the $53,100 amendment covers two items: an updated traffic-impact analysis performed for the project and reimbursable expenses that were not included in the original contract total as submitted by the consultant. Staff said the cost increase can be accommodated within the existing project ordinance for the design services (originally budgeted at $500,000) and no additional appropriation is required.
Council moved to approve the amendment to the purchase order and contract and adopted the change by voice vote. Staff said the amendment will allow completion of design services and the town will proceed with remaining project steps under the existing project ordinance.
The council did not alter the project scope; staff framed the amendment as an administrative contract change needed to finalize design documents.
