Cash-handling policy adopted
The board adopted a new countywide cash- and check-handling policy intended to standardize receipts, deposit timing, documentation and escalation procedures across departments. Finance officer Horton explained the policy is scalable by department and asked for a 60-day grace period for training; Commissioner Rose moved adoption and the board approved the policy by voice vote.
