Clallam County commissioners approved the consent agenda and adopted a resolution to add eight supplemental appropriations to the 2026 budget on Feb. 24.
The appropriations include: $218,392 added to Health & Human Services/Environmental Health for a Pollution Identification & Correction (PIC) grant (with $47,877 identified for subcontract professional services); $94,292 from the Puget Sound Partnership for onsite septic projects and a Tyler Health Module; $44,000 public-works lodging-tax award for a segment of the Olympic Discovery Trail; carryover and reimbursement amounts for sheriff and emergency services including a Community Wildfire Defense grant ($38,685), a fingerprint-machine reimbursement ($19,497), delayed policing-services payment from the Jamestown contract ($75,000), and E911 dispatch equipment funding ($178,289); and $8,200 carryover in the Noxious Weed Control Fund related to a knotweed grant.
A separate consent item declared county real estate surplus to start a formal disposal process; commissioners noted coordination with the treasurer’s office during the next steps. The board moved and passed the consent and supplemental-appropriations resolution by voice vote.
What’s next: the supplemental appropriations are effective immediately for the purposes stated; staff will administer the grants and report back as required by the respective programs.
