Commissioners told revised RV ordinance is coming; board proposes removing 180‑day limit and allowing second RV with conditions
Summary
Commissioners heard an update on a recent, lively RV-ordinance hearing and were told the county board has proposed eliminating the 180-day limit and considering allowance of a second RV (including possible occupancy) via conditional use permit; the RV ordinance hearing will reconvene Jan. 20 and is open for comment until then.

Commissioners received an update on an ongoing RV ordinance review and a recent public hearing that several attendees described as "lively." A commissioner asked whether a revised draft would be provided to the Planning Commission for review before the next hearing.
Planning staff summarized the Board of County Commissioners' response to public testimony. "What the board has proposed in response to the testimony they received was an elimination of the hundred and 80 day limit, to allow the presence of a second RV without the requirement of storage inside like a barn or, with vegetation," staff said. The board has also proposed "allowing occupancy of the second RV ... through issuance of a conditional use permit." Staff said the hearing will reconvene Jan. 20 and that the RV ordinance is still open for public comment until that meeting.
Commissioners requested that the current draft of the RV code be circulated to the Commission so members can review any substantive changes prior to the next hearing. No vote or recommendation on the RV ordinance was taken at the Dec. 3 session; staff said it will reissue materials and noted the public-comment window remains open until the reconvened hearing.
Ending: Staff will circulate the current RV-code draft and any updates before the Jan. 20 reconvened hearing so the Commission can review revisions and collect additional public input.
