The Davis County Commission on March 3 approved a resolution and interlocal agreement with Bountiful City to relocate a ballot drop box temporarily from the Bountiful library to the senior center to accommodate library construction. Brian McKenzie, the clerk, told commissioners the box will be placed "close in proximity" to the library complex and is intended as a temporary location for approximately two years or until the library project is finished.
McKenzie said there is no substantive financial obligation for the county beyond relocation work with facilities staff. "There's no financial information on this, and the terms are for the period of time until the library is completed," he said.
Commissioners moved and voted to approve the resolution during the meeting; the vote was taken by voice and recorded as in favor.
The item will return to the commission only if additional terms or an extension beyond the library’s construction schedule becomes necessary.
