Becca, speaking for the zoning commission, said the applicants seek to rezone property at 30571 396th Avenue in Desmoor Township (Section 68) from A‑1 Agricultural to C‑1 Highway Commercial to bring an existing enclosed storage building into conformance and to allow a single limited unattended accessory vending machine. Zoning staff reported no formal objections were filed at the Zoning Commission hearing held Feb. 16.
The board voted to set a public hearing on proposed ordinance 3‑22 for March 24, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., which staff said satisfies statutory publication requirements.
The public hearing will be the formal opportunity for neighbors, applicants and others to submit comments before the board takes any final action.
