Hudick said the amendment "does not exceed the budget established at the creation of the project" and is intended to keep currently authorized work on schedule. She told viewers that construction is underway on several elements of the project, including renovation of the factory building, a newly designed green space and pavilion in Preservation Park, and the addition of public parking. Hudick said the township expects additional projects to begin in the coming months.
Separately, she said the board reviewed a purchase order increase to pay for additional professional engineering services tied to the Cherry Hill Village parking lot. According to Hudick, the extra funds would cover plans for added lighting in the public parking area.
Hudick did not state a vote outcome, specific dollar amounts for the purchase order increase, or the precise funding sources beyond saying the Town Square work is funded through a combination of sources.
