The petition hearing drew parents Justin Tigger and Tracy, who told the board they live on the district border, regularly use Marathon district services and sought the transfer so their children would be served there without repeated open-enrollment steps. Justin Tigger said the family ‘‘watch the Marathon bus go by every day’’ and that the move would better align the household with their community ties.
