Separately, a delegate from Charles County introduced a resolution recognizing The Links Incorporated for its advocacy on education, health, equity and preservation of Black history; the clerk read the text directing presentation of that resolution in March 2026 as well. The Links was described on the floor as “one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer organizations” with Maryland chapters engaged in legislative advocacy.
