Group consent: On a motion from Mr. Gillis the board approved a grouped set of routine items — minutes, a donation, the 2024–25 audit, awarding the lowest bid for cafeteria equipment, approving business course offerings, appointing the 2025–26 career & technical education local advisory committee, and accepting first reading policies — by roll call. The board’s roll call showed unanimous support for the grouped items.
Architect and comprehensive plan: The board hired RLPS as architect for the district’s future building project (motion carried by roll call). The board also voted to submit the comprehensive plan as provided by Dr. Nell to the Pennsylvania Department of Education; that motion passed with one recorded no vote.
Reports and personnel: Mrs. Bazarian moved and the board approved the finance report as presented. Dr. Nell presented the personnel report and announced that Dr. Kirkpatrick has accepted the superintendent position at Spring Grove School District; the personnel report was approved pending receipt of paperwork.
Discipline: The board accepted an expulsion waiver for a student charged with possession of a weapon and making terroristic threats; the student and family waived a board hearing and accepted a minimum 45‑day expulsion with placement at River Rock Academy for the remainder of the 2025–26 school year. The waiver passed on a voice vote.
The meeting concluded after the board disclosed recent executive sessions for legal and personnel matters.
