Board member S5 moved to approve the resolution adopting the 2026 master plan and the motion passed by voice vote, reported as 4-0. Superintendent S3 framed the plan as a list of priorities the district will use to plan and budget over the next decade.
The resolution and accompanying list name several potential projects: replacing the turf at Scrapper Stadium, resurfacing the all-weather track, replacing turf in the indoor facility (installed 2003), adding visitor restrooms at Scrapper Stadium, and longer-term consideration of a new administration building, a new auditorium and building a district softball field. S3 said completed items such as the previously discussed tennis courts and added press-box seating were removed from the current plan.
S3 told the board the master plan is intended to collect projects that the district expects to consider within the next 10 years and to ensure the district can plan funding, asking board members to identify any items they want added or removed before finalization. "If we'll adopt that resolution and approve the master plan, we'll knock that out," S3 said.
The board voted to adopt the resolution that, according to the meeting record, "declares that a quorum was present and the majority of the quorum voted to approve the 2026 master plan as submitted." The resolution text in the record refers to state law procedure (see authorities) and will serve as the formal adoption of the plan.
Next steps: S3 said he will meet with the district'0s facilities staff to finalize the list and return with refined cost estimates; no binding contracts or procurement decisions were made at the meeting.
