"The grant is meant to allow districts to design, implement and measure approaches to reclaim teacher time," the staff member presenting the item said. The administration said it has divided the work and aims to complete the application components by March 11, with a consolidated submission by March 14.
Board reaction was supportive; multiple trustees thanked staff for pursuing outside funding and acknowledged the tight turnaround. Trustee comments expressed hope the work will produce replicable strategies for reducing teacher paperwork and improving classroom support.
