Warren City — During routine business Feb. 24 the Warren City School Board considered and approved several recommended resolutions from the TCTC representative and later recessed to executive session to discuss employment matters.
A representative for TCTC recommended approval of co-curricular budget and purpose statements for 02/25/26 and also presented appropriations, revenue and fund-balance assumptions for the current fiscal year and three succeeding fiscal years. The board asked the clerk to call the roll and the items were approved "as submitted," per the meeting record.
Another agenda item recommended approval of 2026–2027 membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association; that resolution was moved, seconded and presented to the board for approval.
Toward the end of the meeting, the board cited ORC 121.22, item G, and moved to recess to executive session. Board member speaker 2 moved that the Warren Cities Board of Education recess to executive session "to consider the employment of a public employee for efficiency" and said "there will be no further action taken this evening." The motion was made under the statutory provision cited in public session.
Provenance: Routine business and roll-call references begin with the TCTC recommendation ("It is recommended the resolution listed below..." SEG 1452) and the executive-session motion is recorded at SEG 1485–1491.
