Superintendent Scott Ripley opened the meeting, read the election results and administered the oaths of office for newly elected members Lara Longberg, Dana Gall and Nanette Fendino Diaz. The board then opened nominations; a board member nominated Wayne Dunn for president and Elizabeth Schuman for vice president. The board conducted roll-call voting and confirmed the nominees; there was no recorded opposition.
The board adopted a committee structure and set its regular monthly meetings to take place on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the High Point Regional High School cafeteria annex, with an executive‑session start at 6 p.m. and reconvening to public session at 7 p.m. The chair noted a few date modifications tied to the budget schedule and the public hearing calendar.
On delegations, the board approved Tina Palaszek as the district's representative to the Sussex County Educational Services Commission and designated Tina Palaszek as a delegate to the New Jersey School Boards Association; Allison Horssey was approved as alternate delegate. The chair explained that delegation assemblies are held twice a year and that only the designated delegate carries voting privileges at the assembly.
The board reviewed the code of ethics and scheduled ethics training at a January meeting. The actions taken at the reorganization meeting were procedural and focused on establishing leadership, schedules and representative roles for the coming year.
The board listed the High Point Regional High School cafeteria annex as the regular meeting location and said minutes of any executive session will be released when confidentiality no longer applies.
