Tallman said WIC serves income-eligible pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children under age 5. She described program supports—including nutrition counseling and benefits that cover certain nutritious foods—and noted the health department offers walk-in and appointment options.
Locally, Tallman said there are two locations that serve families with base access (including a site next to Terrace Housing) and a main-office WIC window at the health department for civilian residents. She also described an online referral form on the county health department’s WIC page to request outreach or intake.
