On March 2, the Grant County Redevelopment Commission voted to table an update to the county’s EDA tax-increment financing (TIF) allocation-area map until listening sessions and additional feedback are complete.
Staff reported the advisory planning commission (APC) did not approve the West Side map as presented and recommended pulling the State Road 26 / I‑69 map to revise the boundaries. A consulting firm hired by the commissioners is conducting listening sessions that staff said begin the night of the meeting, and staff recommended tabling the item until those sessions conclude and their input is incorporated.
A motion to table the EDA TIF allocation-area decision was moved and seconded and the commission adopted the motion by voice vote. Staff and the consulting firm will proceed with the listening sessions and return recommended map changes for future consideration by the commission.
