The mayor outlined the Saint Bernard German Luau scheduled for Friday, Aug. 2, and Saturday, Aug. 3, including keg tapping, live music (Naked Karate Girls on Friday; Velvet Crush on Saturday), a parade at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, a dog‑costume contest and a celebrity dunk booth. He encouraged volunteer support and noted pre‑order deadlines for event merchandise.
Stutchell also told council the village will enter into an agreement with the Board of County Commissioners, Hamilton County, to administer a community revitalization grant for property development. "The village of Saint Bernard was awarded a $200,000 grant," he said, adding that the funding is intended to assist with acquisition of 4901 Vine Street—described as the former Saint Bernard Shopping Center—to facilitate redevelopment and economic growth.
The mayor requested that the ordinance accepting the grant terms and appropriation of funds be placed on the Committee of the Whole agenda for consideration. Council did not take final action on the grant acceptance at the meeting; the request was to bring an ordinance forward for committee review.
