The Spencer County Board of Education on Friday approved payment of two invoices totaling $832,500 to Insulating Roofing Contractors for roof repairs at the district’s downtown campus, board member Dr. Foster said at a special-called meeting.
Dr. Foster told the board the vendor had completed the work and "did a fantastic job for us," and recommended the board approve the two invoices: $741,224.88 and $91,275.12. He said the district wants to keep the vendor in good standing for both accounting and workmanship reasons.
A motion to approve payment of the invoices was made on the floor and seconded. The board recorded affirmative votes and the chair declared the action approved. The meeting then moved to a motion to adjourn; the board adjourned at 10:11 a.m.
The action approved at the meeting was the authorization to pay the two invoices for completed roof work at the downtown campus. No additional discussion about contract terms, change orders, or future funding for similar work was recorded during the meeting.
