Rockwood superintendent highlights safety posture, Prop 3-funded tech refresh and strategic planning

She congratulated 22 Rockwood students who were named National Merit semifinalists and highlighted Blevins Elementary’s 25th‑anniversary events. The superintendent outlined a summer technology refresh—more than 5,000 Chromebooks for grades 6, 9 and 10 and more than 1,000 iPads for kindergarten through second grade—and said Proposition 3 funds will help replace HVAC systems at specified elementary schools and support a districtwide door‑monitoring system.
The superintendent also announced a strategic-planning steering committee with 30+ members (students, staff, parents and community members) to guide district planning for 2025–2030 and listed upcoming community engagement meetings.
She closed by thanking the community for support of district safety and programming.
