At its Nov. 4 meeting, the Rockwood Board of Education handled routine business and several formal motions by voice vote.
The board approved the meeting agenda and the Oct. 16, 2025 minutes, accepted a $25,870 donation from a PTO group for field trips and programs, and approved a proclamation designating Nov. 17–21, 2025 as Rockwood’s observance of American Education Week. The board also approved a review of policy 52 20 (safety standards and requirements).
On calendaring, the board voted to postpone approval of the proposed 2027–28 (2728) school-year calendar and the 2027–28 preschool calendar to the Nov. 20, 2025 board meeting so staff can provide additional information. The meeting closed after a motion to table a PIN request for a new flag-representation policy and other routine agenda items.
Votes were recorded as voice votes in the transcript and were announced as 'ayes have it' for the items above; the transcript does not contain roll-call tallies of individual board members for these items.
Ending: The board reviewed future agenda items and adjourned the meeting.
