Commissioners approve appointments, accept Duke Energy grant and clear routine claims and payroll

Stephanie McCurry of Purdue Extension briefed the board on 4‑H activity: about 300 youth had met the Jan. 15 soft deadline and roughly 60 volunteers had completed training; the “Spring into 4‑H” kickoff was scheduled for Feb. 28 at Expo Hall. McCurry told the board the extension office needs a full‑time office manager to keep up with clerical work and said she would return in March to discuss staffing further.
