Pappert/Packard EMS and AMR describe regional services and training; Pappert asks to be included in any EMS RFP

Gary Wages (speaker S14) introduced Pappert/Packard EMS as a family-owned company operating in multiple states and outlined a vision for local services, workforce education and disaster response. He described training investments, including an education center and multiple EMT/paramedic classes, and said the company prioritizes community partnerships and rapid decision-making through local leadership. CEO Greg Pappert (speaker listed in the transcript as Greg Pappert) said his company would like to participate if the county issues an RFP for EMS services.
"If this goes out to RFP, we'd like to see it at the table," Greg Pappert told the board, adding that Pappert EMS seeks consideration alongside local providers.
Later in the meeting an AMR representative (speaker S11) marked 30 years of service in the county, detailed community outreach and training programs (CPR, first aid, stop-the-bleed), and recognized Darlene Hawkins as AMR's employee of the year for 2025 for her role in clinical-quality improvement and staff training.
The board thanked both presenters and said staff would let the companies know if an RFP is issued or when procurement decisions are pending. No formal procurement action was taken at the meeting.
