The Planning and Zoning Commission on March 10 heard an introduction from Clayton Comstock, who said he is the city’s new executive director of planning and development.
"My name is Clayton Comstock. As you all mentioned, I'm the new executive director of planning development for the city of Mansfield," Comstock said, describing nearly 20 years of experience in northeast Tarrant County and his role as director of the Midwest section of the Texas chapter of the American Planning Association.
Comstock said he has been preparing for the position by observing recent commission and city council meetings and flagged upcoming professional opportunities for commissioners, including a March 21 tour in Old Town Lewisville hosted by Lewisville that could provide examples for Mansfield’s downtown revitalization efforts.
Commissioners welcomed Comstock and staff noted they will share future training and engagement opportunities with the commission.
