Levy County adopts drug-and-alcohol policy for county transit

Connie Conley of Levy County Community Services asked the board to adopt Resolution 2026-3, describing the measure as a countywide policy to govern drug- and alcohol-testing rules for transit operations. “So this morning, I’m asking the board to adopt resolution number 20 26 dash 3,” Conley said in presenting the item.
After the presentation a motion to approve was made and seconded; the chair called for the vote and commissioners approved the resolution by voice vote. No public comments were offered during the item.
The measure was read into the record as a county resolution establishing the policy and providing an effective date; the board did not amend the text during the meeting. The county manager and staff will be responsible for implementing the policy and notifying affected departments.
The board moved on to other agenda business following the adoption.
