Commissioners voted to approve routine purchases for the road department — including approximately 44,100 pounds of sealant and 45,000 pounds of polymer‑modified mill mastic — and accepted standard reports and interlocal agreements listed on the consent calendar. "Motion carries," the chair said after the voice vote.
The board pulled two early claims for separate consideration: a courthouse bond payment and a Davis Design courthouse project claim. After discussion the board approved the two early claims (vote recorded as 5 yes, 2 no). The clerk read several large early claims that had been included in the packet, including a courthouse bond payment of $2,143,675 and a lodging‑tax remittance to the Hall County Convention and Visitor Bureau of $82,068.32.
In other routine business the board convened briefly as the Board of Equalization, confirmed roll call and approved minutes. At the request of a public participant the chair signed a correction notice for a tax parcel; commissioners approved the requested correction.
The board also approved a county treasurer request to authorize a 2023 four‑door passenger van to be used by the Young Women’s Christian Association for after‑school transportation. The motion to approve that request passed by voice vote.
The meeting proceeded with committee and staff reports. The board did not take action on non‑agenda items during public participation. The clerk recorded all votes.
