The Little Falls School Board voted to authorize a two‑year advertising‑banner agreement that will allow local businesses to pay for banner placement on district athletic‑field fences as a revenue source for activities programs.
Superintendent (speaker 12) and staff explained that the activities department sought the option to offset budget reductions by selling banner space at football, baseball and softball fields. Businesses would pay for banner production and the district would provide display locations; agreements were proposed as two‑year terms with district flexibility on start/end dates and proration.
Board members asked clarifying questions about contract dates, prorating if a banner is posted mid‑season, and whether all banners would renew on the same schedule. The superintendent said the district can stagger start dates and that staff will work with the activities director (Kevin Jordan) to track installation and renewal dates.
After discussion, a motion to approve the agreement to proceed passed by voice vote. Board members indicated the program is intended to provide sustainable activity‑fund revenue while remaining flexible to business needs and field schedules.
Staff will finalize contract language and return with any required administrative materials and tracking spreadsheets.
