Two student board members sworn in; students highlight new high‑school student center

Among the updates, the students described the new high‑school student center, converted from the former main office: upperclassmen provide peer tutoring there; the space is available for PSEO and hybrid students who need a place to work; it sits near the guidance office and includes meeting rooms and student services. Students said the center has already helped peers get timely help without disrupting classroom instruction.
The students also reported on athletics, cross‑country, the fall play (this year’s play is “Still Life with Iris”), and leadership experiences such as a recent student council retreat in New Mexico. Board members thanked the student reps and said they look forward to regular updates.
The board then moved into principal reports from buildings across the district.
