She said there are 16 pending contracts at the time of the meeting—6 infants, 5 toddlers and 5 preschoolers—and that administrators will make direct phone contact with interested families once the handbook and policies are approved.
Board members discussed fee-setting and benchmarking; Kayla said the district adjusted rates after consulting First Children’s Finance to place the program in a rate band that supports later funding eligibility. She also said about six people have expressed interest in employment; full staffing needs were estimated at 15–18 staff as enrollment grows.
