The Page County Board of Supervisors approved the annual "2080 agreement" for Southwest Iowa juvenile emergency services and cleared routine procedural business at its meeting.
The chair introduced the 2080 agreement — described by the chair as the same interlocal form the supervisors sign each year for a juvenile detention arrangement in Council Bluffs — and said supervisors would sign at next month's meeting or allow the chair to sign with board approval. "If you want to do a motion that allows me to sign it, at our meeting next month, that would be great," the chair said.
A committee member moved to approve the 2080 agreement for Southwest Iowa juvenile emergency service; the motion was seconded and the chair called the vote. Members responded "Aye," and the chair said "Thank you," indicating approval.
The board also made and approved motions to accept claims and to approve the meeting minutes from Feb. 17. The chair and members discussed scheduling and noted that a small DCAD fund balance (about $95) may be treated as a donation to another state entity pending confirmation from auditors.
Earlier in the meeting the chair expressed frustration over delays in replacing the courthouse roof, saying she had contacted the supervisor over the work and warning that bid validity and insurance (ICAP) implications could become an issue if the work does not move forward.
The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn was made and approved.
