During public comment, Mushki Davie of Skipper Street in the Village of Fenny told the board she was concerned about proposed property‑tax changes and asked what ordinary citizens can do. "I think it's a fraud. They're trying to dupe us by promising us free stuff," she said; County Administrator Mr. Arnold and commissioners urged residents to use available workshop information, consult meeting minutes posted online and contact state legislators or the governor to express concerns.
Resident Lori Taylor proposed naming County Road 459 in Lake Panasoffkee for Charles Pennington, a local volunteer who recently died. Commissioners discussed the difference between formal renaming and an honorary designation; County Administrator said an honorary designation with signage could proceed without changing addresses and that formal renaming requires public notice and a hearing. The board directed staff to proceed with an honorary designation and signage.
The meeting closed after routine financial and contract consent votes.
