Staff also said the town council chambers will undergo microphone repairs next month, and the March meeting may be moved while the chambers are under repair.

The cemetery committee (Brian Williams) said the opening period to submit narratives for a historical marker for Old Shallow Cemetery begins March 1 and that marker costs run about $2,000; the committee is exploring grants. Sharon Gentry reported ongoing research into Flower Mound farms and ranches (Soussar Farm, Caldwell/Culwell Ranch) and potential historical write-ups. Education subcommittee chair Tara Clarech said she is finishing a "Flower Mound: then and now" trunk presentation for schools and libraries. Archivization and digitization of local scrapbooks was also discussed and staff will send materials to Denton for digitization.
