The board approved the 01/13/2026 meeting minutes by voice vote. Under Item 4 staff described four state-vehicle purchase requests (Colorado River Commission: two vehicles, not to exceed $67,343; Department of Public Safety investigative division: three vehicles, not to exceed $150,116; Governor's Office of Emergency Management: one vehicle, not to exceed $64,765; State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Protection: two vehicles, not to exceed $129,992) and the board approved the purchases.
The board approved a request from the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy to contract with former employee Patrick Conway through Marathon Staffing Group to coordinate investigations related to unlawful prescription-drug activity, and it approved 41 contracts under Item 10 and eight master service agreements under Item 11. Four leases presented under Item 9 were also approved. The clerk reported an informational contract list of 57 agreements between $10,000 and $99,999 covering 12/13/2025–01/09/2026.
Under Item 7 the board approved a $110,000 payment from the statutory contingency account to Patience Rosso for compensation related to a wrongful conviction. The board also approved proposed changes to the state administrative manual (chapter 800, collective bargaining, section 808).
Informational reports included a revenue and fund-balance summary listing multiple fund balances (for example, tort-claims fund $1,900,000; statutory contingency $1,600,000; disaster relief account $15,900,000; IFC contingency unrestricted general fund $61,000,000), and the Department of Motor Vehicles presented a Complete Streets program report for the period 10/01/2025–12/31/2025 certifying voluntary contributions and distributions.
Most items were approved by voice vote after staff presentations; board members asked a small number of clarifying questions on select items and requested follow-up information on a podcast-host contract line item in the clerk’s report. The meeting closed after a second public-comment period with no speakers and an adjournment motion that passed by voice vote.
