The Franklin County Fiscal Court voted to authorize a one-time service engagement with Paycor to reimplement and fully configure the county’s payroll and timekeeping system.
County administrators described the purchase as a roughly $4,900 professional-services engagement to build complicated pay plans (for example, multiple incentive and overtime rules used by fire personnel), establish automated timesheet approvals and provide staff training and an employee self‑service rollout. Officials said the project will enable geofenced mobile punching, reduce paper timesheets, and provide auditing and reporting tools required for government compliance. The county set a working target to have the system in place by July 1 and added that training and rollout to employees will follow configuration.
Supporters argued the investment would increase accuracy and free staff time: the county’s administrative team said automated time capture and security levels will cut manual processing and make approval workflows auditable.
What happens next: county staff will work with Paycor on configuration, implement mobile and desktop punching options and train department approvers and payroll administrators ahead of the planned rollout.
