The lots described include one side with power and sewer and another with water and sewer; one side was noted as awaiting a Duke Energy power connection. The commissioners discussed infrastructure readiness and agreed the county would later pursue an RFP process to select builders once ownership and documentation were settled.
"I have authority to work with John Spur on this legal document and get that before you so we can get that signed," the commission president said when moving to give the president authority to proceed. The board moved, seconded and approved the authorization. Commissioners said staff will prepare the documents for review and the county will later select builders through an RFP process to move construction forward on conveyed lots.
No final property conveyance took place at the meeting; the authorization directs staff to complete legal work and return any final agreement to the board for approval.
