Policy analyst Michael Sanders told the council the appendix to the hillsides-and-canyons plan was requested when the plan was passed in December and that staff drafted the additional language following input at a July work meeting. Sanders said the updated version before the council had been recommended for approval by the planning commission unanimously.
“There were a few suggestions made,” Sanders said of the work-session feedback; he presented the revised appendix and asked whether councilors had questions. No public comment was offered and councilors voted to adopt the appendix on the implied motion with affirmative responses recorded from seven councilors.
The council’s action was recorded as passing 7–0. Staff indicated the item had been through the planning commission and previous work sessions and did not present new material requiring further public hearings.
