During regular business the Bethel Park School District board agreed to place multiple finance, personnel and policy items on next week's consent agenda and to delay a vote on PSBA delegates until May.
The finance committee chair moved items 1 through 5 to the consent agenda; items included April salaries and bills, the March financial report, budget transfers, acceptance of a Bethel Park Education Foundation grant, and a payment of $51,575.77 for the new K'5 elementary school. "I'm gonna move 1 to 5 to the consent agenda without objections," the finance committee member said; the board voiced agreement.
The policy committee noted a revision to Policy 07/2007 (use of facilities) that had been coordinated with the municipality and recommended sending the third and final reading to the consent agenda for approval next week.
The personnel committee moved three personnel items to consent: acceptance of a resignation, appointment of personnel, and approval of a job description. Those items will appear on next week's consent agenda.
On the Pennsylvania School Boards Association delegate assembly, a board member noted the assembly is Nov. 2 in Mechanicsburg and that a Zoom option is sometimes available; the board agreed to table the delegate appointments until May to allow members to confirm interest and availability.
A motion to adjourn passed by voice vote at the close of the meeting.
