At its Jan. 23 meeting, the City of Mesquite Board of Adjustment re-elected Courtney Earhart as chair and elected David Burrows as vice chair.
Board member Aiken nominated Earhart for another term; she accepted and the board approved the appointment. David Burrows was nominated and elected vice chair. The board then considered its consent agenda, had no corrections or discussion, and approved the consent agenda by a 5–0 vote.
The chair noted procedural rules for public comments and appeals to courts under Texas Local Government Code §211.011. Staff announced that agenda item 6 had been withdrawn by the applicant and that item 7 would be continued to Feb. 27, 2025. The board adjourned following the staff liaison’s brief report.
Elections and the consent-agenda approval were recorded in the meeting minutes; formal actions take effect as provided by board rules once filed in the board’s office.
