Gardner Museum to reopen March 4 with spring exhibit and author program

The mayor announced that the Gardner Museum will reopen on March 4 at 1 p.m. with a spring exhibit titled "Caring for Greater Gardner," which will honor current and past physicians, dentists and other health-care workers and will be on view through May 24 during regular museum hours.
"Thank you very much to Mary and Noel and everyone over at the Gardner Museum for all the work that you do in the city," the mayor said, noting the museum's winter break has ended and no reservation is needed for the reopening hours.
Also on March 4, the mayor said the library will host a program called "Milltown Reckoning with What Remains," featuring author Carrie Arceneaux, who wrote the memoir Milltown. The library event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with a small reception at 6 p.m.; reservations are required and email is the preferred method to reserve a spot. The mayor identified the location for the program as Levi Haywood Memorial Library, 55 West Line Street.
The mayor said the museum exhibit and the library lecture are part of the city's spring cultural offerings and encouraged residents to attend.
